Swiss Ice Hockey Awards honor Nico

Last Friday night saw the Swiss ice hockey community gather in Bern for the 21st Swiss Ice Hockey Awards. Hosted by the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF), the event honored the country’s most successful ice hockey personalities from the past year in various categories, including Nico, who was awarded the Hockey Award.

The Hockey Award annually honors a distinguished resprentative of Swiss ice hockey, who has set himself apart on the national or international level. Prior to Nico, the honor most recently went to head Tobias Wehrli, who had been selected to referee two consecutive IIHF World Championship finals in 2015 and 2016.
