Nico out with injury as Devils top Pens

Nico’s streak of 102 consecutive starts to begin his NHL career is over. The upper body injury he sustained during Sunday night’s loss at Winnipeg kept him out of the Devils line-up for the first time since joining the team after the 2017 NHL draft.

Fortunately, however, the injury is not expected to sideline Nico for much longer. Officially listed as « day to day », he could make his return as early as Thursday night, when the Devils will travel to Philadelpia.

New Jersey defeated Pittsburgh by a score of 4-2 last night, as Nico was on hand to witness his team’s seventh win of the season.
