Mixed start to the 2026/2027 NHL season for Nico and the New Jersey Devils. After a tough opening night win vs. the Flyers on Thursday (3-2 OT), the Devils were outplayed thoroughly during Saturday’s 0-6 loss at the hands of the New York Islanders at New York’s UBS arena.

On a personal level, Nico averaged roughly 19:08 minutes of ice time over both games, while recording five shots on goal. He prevailed in 49.3% of his face-offs, but did not register a goal or an assist while finishing the week a plus-1.

Up next are two more home games for the Devils this week. First off, they will welcome the Utah Mammoth to the Rock on Tuesday night (7 PM EST) before closing out week #2 with a Saturday afternoon tilt vs. the Vancouver Canucks (3:30 PM EST).
