The New Jersey Devils are set to launch their 2026/27 NHL season later this week with back-to-back rivalry matchups. The Devils kick off their campaign at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night (7 PM EST), followed by a brief trip across the Hudson to take on the New York Islanders on Saturday (7 :30 PM EST).

Thursday’s home opener marks a career milestone for Nico, as he begins his 10th NHL season. Selected first overall by New Jersey in the 2017 NHL Draft, Nico has since suited up for 609 regular-season games with the franchise, recording 199 goals and 289 assists (488 points) in the process.

Following the opening weekend action, New Jersey will return home for two more games at Prudential Center next week.
