Devils fall to the Islanders

For a second consecutive game, the New Jersey Devils allowed their opposition to score three goals in the opening 15 minutes of the game. As result, the Devils and Nico fell to the NY Islanders by a score of 1-4 last night in Long Island.

Efficient on offense, the Islanders also took care of business in their own zone, keeping the dangerous Devils line of Nico, Kyle Palmieri and Marcus Johansson off the scoreboard and without a shot on goal throughout the entire 60 minutes. The Devils’ top line responded defensively, however, allowing Nico to finish the game with 16:31 minutes of ice time and with an even plus-minus statistic.

New Jersey’s next opponent are the Anaheim Ducks, who’ll be paying the Rock a visit for a Saturday matinee. Game time is 1:00 PM (ET).
