A lost week for Nico and the Devils
Tough week for Nico and the New Jersey Devils: In three road games, the Devils failed to earn a point, falling to the Lightning (1-5), the Panthers (0-1) and the Flyers (3-6) in successive fashion.
Despite the setbacks, the Devils currently remain in second place in the Eastern Conference with 27 points through 21 games, even though the margin between second and ninth place is currently just two points. Individually, Nico tallied four points (three goals and one assist) this past week, while firing 13 shots on goal and finishing the week with an even plus/minus. Per game, he averaged 20:16 minutes of ice time and prevailed in 60.3% of his faceoffs.
New Jersey next returns to action on Monday night (7 PM EST), when the Red Wings will be in town. Two days later, the Devils will host the Blues (7 PM EST), before playing in a “Black Friday” matinee at Buffalo (4 PM EST). The week then concludes with a home game vs. Flyers on Saturday evening (7 PM EST).
