Two wins – but Devils’ slide continues
Two wins and one loss — that’s this past week’s tally for the New Jersey Devils and Nico after games at Minnesota (5–2 win) and vs. the Kraken (3–2 OT win) and the Hurricanes (1–4). Through 48 games, the Devils currently sit in 15th place in the Eastern conference with 50 points, six points behind the eighth and final playoff spot.
On a personal level, Nico logged in the following statistics for the past week: two goals, two assists, and a total of five shots on goal, while prevailing in 70.3% of his faceoffs. Per game, he averaged 19:29 minutes of ice time and finished the week a plus-1.
Following a travel day today, the Devils will begin a four-game road trip tomorrow, when they’ll take on the Calgary Flames at 9PM EST. They will then face the Oilers on Tuesday night (10 PM EST), before taking on the Canucks on Friday (10 PM EST). To close out the week, New Jersey will travel to Seattle on Sunday, where they’ll face the Kraken at 4 PM EST.
