Devils keep stacking up points and wins
Another productive week for Nico and the New Jersey Devils. Taking on the likes of the New York Islanders (2-3 OT), the Chicago Blackhawks (4-3 OT) and the Washington Capitals (3-2 SO) between Monday and Saturday, the Devils collected another five points.
With 27 points through 18 games, the Devils currently own the league’s second best record (behind Colorado) and are the first team to win 13 games. This despite a long list of injured players, including Connor Brown, Cody Glass, Doug Hamilton, Brad Pesce and – most recently – Jack Hughes. Individually, Nico averaged 24:03 minutes of ice-time this past week, while recording eights shots on goal and scoring one assist. He prevailed in 48,1% of his faceoffs and finished the week a plus-1.
Next up for New Jersey are three more road games, starting with a trip down south to Florida, where they’ll take on the Lightning on Tuesday night before a game vs. the Panthers on Thursday. The week then ends with a game at the Flyers on Saturday evening. Puck drop for all three games is at 7 PM EST.
